McVera Social Content Automation ("the App") is an internal content management and automation application operated by McVera.
The App is designed to help McVera manage, schedule, publish, and analyze content for its own Pinterest business account and related online store activities.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may access through the Pinterest API, how that information is used, and how it is protected.
2. Information We Access
When authorized, the App may access information associated with the authenticated McVera Pinterest business account through the Pinterest API.
Depending on the permissions granted to the App, this may include:
• Pinterest account information necessary to identify the authenticated account.
• Pins created or managed by the authenticated account.
• Boards associated with the authenticated account.
• Pin and Board information required for content creation, scheduling, and management.
• Analytics and reporting information related to McVera's Pinterest activity.
The App does not request or collect Pinterest passwords.
3. How We Use Information
Information accessed through the Pinterest API is used only for the operation and management of McVera's Pinterest presence.
The information may be used to:
• Create and publish Pins.
• Schedule Pinterest content.
• Manage McVera's Pinterest Boards.
• Retrieve information about McVera's own Pins and Boards.
• Analyze Pinterest content performance.
• Generate internal reports and performance insights.
• Improve McVera's social content workflow.
We do not use Pinterest account information for unrelated purposes.
4. Data Sharing
McVera does not sell, rent, or trade Pinterest account information.
We do not share Pinterest information with third parties for advertising purposes.
Pinterest API data may only be processed by services or systems necessary to operate the McVera Social Content Automation application and its authorized integrations.
5. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information accessed through the Pinterest API.
Authentication credentials, access tokens, client secrets, and other sensitive credentials are treated as confidential information and are not intentionally made publicly available.
Access to application data is limited to authorized McVera systems and personnel.
6. Data Retention
Pinterest API data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the App, maintain content management functionality, perform reporting, and maintain business records.
When information is no longer required for these purposes, it may be deleted or securely removed.
7. Pinterest Authorization
The App uses Pinterest's authorization and API services to access the permissions granted by the authenticated account.
The App does not collect Pinterest login credentials.
Users authorize access through Pinterest's authentication and authorization process.
8. User Control and Revocation
Because the App is intended for McVera's own Pinterest business account, access is controlled by the authorized McVera account owner.
Authorization may be revoked through the applicable Pinterest account or application authorization settings.
After authorization is revoked, the App will no longer be able to make API requests requiring the revoked permissions.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is a business content-management application and is not directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with third-party services, including Pinterest and Etsy, solely as necessary to operate McVera's business and content-management workflow.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy and terms.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable services, or legal and regulatory requirements.
Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
